What Work is Taking Place?

As early as January 2019, deep excavation work will get underway to prepare for underpinning TTC’s Line 1 subway box and construction of the new Cedarvale LRT station. Over the course of the year, spoils from the excavation will be extracted and hauled from various sites along Eglinton Avenue from Park Hill Road to Strathearn Road. A new traffic configuration will also be implemented to accommodate ongoing shoring activities.

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

As part of road widening and reconstruction works approaching and within the Don Valley Parkway and Eglinton Avenue East intersections, two new traffic stages (depicted below) will be implemented. Each stage will last approximately 4 weeks. The first stage will be implemented early January, 2019.

Overnight Work at South Bus Loop and Passenger Platform at Kennedy Station

What Work is Taking Place?

In support of construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be installing wet utilities pipes in the south bus loop and passenger platform area at Kennedy Station.

Working will involve removing existing concrete and excavating a trench followed by installation of the pipe and area restoration. To minimize disruption to transit users, the work will be performed overnight. Read more »

    Crews have been completing overnight wet utility and hydro utility installation work at Forest Hill Station since September 2018.  This work will continue through January 2019.  By the end of 2018, 95% of all utilities relocation and installation work at Forest Hill Station will have been completed.
